Why we built OncePix

Every event has one official photographer and fifty unofficial ones. The photographer gets the posed shot of the couple. The fifty guests get everything else: the reaction on someone’s face two tables over, the joke that got the whole room laughing, the exact second the cake candles got blown out from an angle the photographer wasn’t standing in.

Those fifty other photos usually never go anywhere. They sit scattered across fifty phones, in fifty different camera rolls, most never shared past a single WhatsApp message to whoever’s in the picture.

OncePix exists to collect them. Every guest gets their own limited roll of photos, taken straight from their phone’s browser, no app, nothing to install. Nobody sees anyone else’s photos until the event ends, at which point every roll merges into one shared album: every angle, every table, every part of the room somebody else happened to be standing in.

That’s the whole idea, really, not a better camera, just more of them, pointed in more directions, by the people who were actually there.
